Srishti Goswami- from student to CM

One-day chief minister, We must have heard from Anil Kapoor's film Nayak. Nayak is one of my favorite movies. The concept depicted in the drama is a fascinating one. What if it happens?

Why am I talking about this now? Yeah! it has happened in Haridwar that is famous for its holy site.

A teenager from Haridwar, pursuing Bsc. Agriculture. Her primary concern was about education to impoverished children. She is active in creating awareness in the community. In 2018, she was elected as the lawmaker of the child assembly in Uttarakhand. She took part in girls international leadership competition held in Thailand in 2019.

From the very beginning, she is determined to bring children a proper education. Her strong motivation made her participate in the AARAMBH campaign to promote education.

On the occasion of national girls day, Srishti Goswami was given a chance to be a one-day CM of the state. The 19-year-old girl from Haridwar has made history by holding the chief ministerial post as the first woman CM of the state.

Srimathi Jayaprakash on Unsplash                                                                               If you were to ask an Indian women, to prefer between living in North India or South India, imagine what would her answer be? Most women would prefer to live in South India. And it shouldn't come as a surprise. In South India, women marry late, live longer and are more educated. The gender gap in education is 26% of the north and while for the south it is only 9%. Other than economic and social benefits, safety is another factor that could explain the woman's preference. Compared to North India there could be less crime against women in the South. It could be possible even in the states like Kerala, have high crime rates against women( According to data). But it is not clear why the cr...

Principles of Shivaji Maharaj

In this blog post, we will focus on the principles that made Shivaji Maharaj an inevitable, gracious, valorous emperor of Maratha. Shivaji is famous for his prowess in warfare techniques and Arthashastra. There are many articles in the pool that tell us about his biography, leadership qualities. But not the principles he followed. Which made me write about such a prominent ruler. As we know, Shivaji's father, Shahaji Bhosle, used to spend most of his time in the tristate as a general. So, Shivaji spent his childhood with his mom and Dadoji Konddeo. They taught Shivaji moral values and martial arts. With no further delay with the history you previously acknowledged. Let's drift through the principles. Mentality Mighty Maratha Shivaji the great was just a teenager when he started swaraj yatra. Shivaji was always an outdoorsman. During his excursion through the countryside, he saw many skilled men who worked for the sultanate. Shivaji advanced towards them. With curiosity, S...

Hitler- An opportunist

Adolf Hitler, How did he harmonize one of the largest genocide in human history? How did he rise to power in a democratic country? The story of post world war 1 made Germany realize that the war was unwinnable. As the war is unwinnable, Germany thought allying makes them winnable. So, Germany signed a truce ending the fight. As the government collapsed, the entire nation started encountering civil unrest and worker strikes. Soon diplomats started fearing an uprising of the communist revolutionary party. So, politicians started suppressing the majority and established the parliamentary Weimar republic. The first task of the parliament to implement the peace treaty imposed by its allies. In addition to a peace treaty, Germany also signed to dismantle its army. And Germany had to take full responsibility for the war and pay for the destruction. Many nationalists and war veterans see this as a humiliation. These nationalists and veterans wrongly believed that they could have won the ...
